Our mom recently tried some homemade make up remover wipes she found online. They are awesome! And we thought they needed to be shared with all of you. So here's how she made them and what she had to say:
"I had seen several pins on Pinterest for making DIY makeup remover pads. I have really been trying to make my own, chemical free, products lately. I found the recipe I wanted to use here . You need a Mason Jar or other round container, round cotton pads, 1 ½ cups of water, 2 tbsp tear free baby shampoo, ¼ tsp baby oil and although it wasn’t in this recipe, I added several drops of essential oil. You can add whatever kind is your favorite. I had read on another website that you should use distilled water to make the wipes last longer. Not sure if that’s true, but I had distilled water so I used it. I mixed all the ingredients together and then poured some of the water mixture in the Mason Jar. Just add a little at a time and then add 10 or so cotton rounds to soak up the water. Just go back and forth until all the water is absorbed in the Mason Jar. I printed off a round label and attached it to the jar lid. I tied a piece of string around it to add a little something. I really like it and it feels good to be using something without chemicals that can be made for a fraction of the cost of the store bought kind." -Robin
We have been using them the last several months and love them. They get off all your make-up and leave your face feeling fresh. Try them for yourself, we know you'll love them! xoxo, Britt + Sky
