Diy Red, White, + Blue Ikat Flower Pot

I have had this IKEA plant pot laying around for quite some time now. In fact, I almost got rid of it twice, but for some reason I just kept deciding last minute to hang on to it. I finally decided to do something with it! Yay!

Using a red and blue Sharpie, I scribbled diamond shapes over the existing raised shapes on the pot. Creating a sort of ikat design. It was a very simple way to dress up this otherwise neutral pot. Plus it will look perfect with my Fourth of July decor.

DIY Baby Swimsuit Revamp

The Dollar Tree is basically my favorite place. For the record I am not getting paid to say that. I just really love it. I am slightly embarrassed about the number of times that I have been there in the past few weeks. 🙊 It's been A LOT.

I don't always find a ton of stuff when I go, but they have some really awesome stuff sometimes. And it's only a dollar! It's amazing. One of my trips there last week, I spotted this little purple swimming suit, hanging in the summer section. I decided to but it for Sophie. I just knew that I could do something fun to it. I am so glad that I did!! I love it so much. Plus I only spent like $1.25 on a super cute extra swimming suit for my little miss.

I cut the straps where they connect to the suit in the back. I then added five colorful beads to both sides. Next I added a bead to the end of the strap to keep it from getting unraveled. I used hot glue to keep it on there. It ties like a halter top now.

Simple DIY Gem Frame

I love me some super simple DIYs!
I was going to get rid of this frame, but I decided to add a little spray paint and give it new life. And I am so glad that I did.

Using some glue and gems that I had in my craft supplies, I dressed up this little frame.  I didn't really have a plan. I just started putting the gems on randomly until I had a design that I loved.

DIY Personalized Travel Clutch

I love having things to help keep Noah occupied when we are out. I decided to make a little clutch that I can just throw in the diaper bag to help hold some fun things for him to play with.

I folded the plastic canvas about two thirds of the way up. Leaving enough space to have a flap that folds over.

Using the yarn I weaved all around the edges to hold it all together. Then I of course had to add a fun personal touch on the flap.

This is such a simple DIY. Plus it's super cute. And it holds all kinds of fun stuff to keep Noah occupied.

I seriously love how this turned out!  I really hope you love it too! xo Britt

DIY Mini Splatter Paint Shoes

You know how when I made the mini name bracelets, I said that everything was extra cute when it was tiny? Well I wasn't lying.

Check out these little splatter paint shoes!

I have had this little pair of shoes since Noah was a baby. He wore them one time and then his little chunky feet grew too thick for them to fit anymore. I had put them in Sophie's Shoe drawer before she was even born, knowing that someday she would fit into them.

I was going through her shoes the other day and I saw them again. I got this crazy idea that I should do something fun with them. And for some reason splatter paint popped in my head. I am still not too sure how my brain works, but I decided to go with it.

Supplies:

  • shoes
  • paint
  • paint brushes
  • tape
  • newspaper

I taped around the soles of the shoes, as to not get paint all over (that was actually the hardest part and it took the longest). I placed some newspaper down and went to splattering.

I put an ample amount of paint on my brush and then used another brush to tap the paint off. I did a few practice splatters on my news paper to get the hang of it before I went crazy on the shoes.y

I think the pink adds a fun and girly touch to the otherwise neutral shoes. I love how they turned out + I hope you do too! xo Britt
